Photographer Edward Mulvihill shows off his artistic ability with a collection of black and white photos that capture the world around him. Typical day to day things are exposed as art, showing how simple events that might appear mundane are filled with beauty and tension when abstracted from their surroundings. His cinematic approach to photography gives off an impression that we are seeing stills from a motion picture, but in this case we’re looking at scenes from Edward’s life. There is an energetic quality to Mulvihill’s shots, an intensity that ties a seemingly disjointed collection together. Overall, the timelessness of his documentation provides a feeling of permanence. These images have always existed and will always exist, but it takes the right eye to bring them to life.
